BRENTWOOD, TN -- Digital Reasoning Systems announced the release of its GeoLocator software system, aimed at the intelligence and Homeland Security markets. The software searches unstructured text documents to find words that describe physical places. It then matches them to precise locations. The company also claims to be able to differentiate false positives, such as "Boston creme pie," from a series of words pertaining to a location. The system was originally developed for the US Army, but is being adapted for potential use by other security agencies.
